Spotted at Joburg Fashion Week at the Thula Sindi show

Last week was the prestigious, much celebrated Joburg Fashion Week. It took place on Newtown’s Mary Fitzgerald Square and unlike past Fashion Week’s, this Fashion Week began on time. It seems like the latest trend is to be punctual and thats what we witnessed at this past Fashion Week. Now to be honest, I applaud them from hosting these Fashion Week’s in unique venues, but between us, I prefer Sandton Convention Centre… Safe parking, descent toilets, warm foyers and lots of space… Please can we go back to Sandton asseblief. It was a nightmare to find parking and not be harrased by drunk car guards. That’s the last thing anyone would want, especially looking like Chichi Letswalo

Chi Chi and Bonnie Henna

Chi arrived with her friend, Bonnie… Bonnie Henna was one of Thula Sindi’s celebrated female personalities. She looked lovely in a black sequenced number, with a leather skirt… But Chichi on the other hand… #ThrowsHandsUp. Perhaps the invite said Dress Code – Rocky Horror Picture Show. Its not the outfit that gets a huge side eye, but rather the drag queen like make up… Looking like a pigeon from a Disney cartoon…

NandiStyle icon, Nandi played it safe in black and white… I hope Thula and Nandi work together. I loved Thula Sindi’s range and I think some of his newer pieces would fit Nandi like a glove. She too loved his collection

LeratoThe Link’s Lerato also kept it simple in black…. Perhaps, black and white was the dress code? And I arrived in pink and brown…  Here Lerato is with PRTV and YOTV presenter…

Mel Bala and Happy Metro FM team, Mel Bala and Happy Ngidi also wore black… Mel Bala is a fan of Thula Sindi’s work…

Terry PhetoAnother fan of Thula Sindi is actress and role model, Terry Pheto.

Jena DoverLike Terry Pheto, Jena Dover was also one of Thula Sindi’s celebrity icons. Props to Thula Sindi for dressing some of the best in the industry.

Ephymol The guys also played with black and white colours… Fashion designer, Ephymol looked good in a suit. I am looking forward to seeing his range in April at SA Fashion week.

JerriFashion blogger and stylist to the stars, Jerri stole the show with his fierce rings… To see more detailed pictures of the fashion, visit Jerri’s blog here

PennyAnd while everyone was wearing black, arrived on time and behaved accordingly, we had Penny, who looked like Mama Jack’s understudy. Making noise, walking down aisles during the show and just being Penny… #Sigh…
