Earlier today I went to the screening of the 1st episode of the 5th Tropika Island of Treasure. Now, to be honest with you, the screening took place in one of the sexiest venue’s I have EVER seen. My oh -my, I felt like I had walked into the Forrester mansion. With a pool over looking Johannesburg, the launch took place at a snazy hotel in Houghton.
It was a closed event, so only a few selected VIP’s were invited… These are some of the cool folk who were in attendance.
Phuti Khomo and DA L.E.S. Phuti announced that her and DA L.E.S are working on a song together… Apparently her alter ego, Sharon Dee features. Phuti Khomo is a real diva and an even better actress. She showcases her range of acting skills in episode one… She had both Jay Anstey and I shocked…lol… DA L.E.S still has that x-factor, wonder if his bad boy charm will help him walk away with a milli…
The ever so sexy Jay and Reeva… This is the reason why straight guys (and lesbians) should watch the show… These two look SEXXXY in their bikini’s… Altho the host of the show called Reeva out, because Reeva had the same bikini as her. Oh, and just to mention, the host is fresh… (Yes, DJ Fresh is the host. But he is joined by Jamaican bombshell Rosina Casserly. And she is so fresh… #Fresh2Death)
How hot is she… and she has that Jamaican accent… Men are going to fall in LOVE with her… Mo Fire…
Pearl Thusi and Phuti Khomo also share a few interesting moments on the show… Apparently when they weren’t filming, Phuti Khomo would host tea party’s in her villa… Proper Beauty Queen vibes…
Okay this is not the best shot, but we love action shots… I must say, I never knew how entertaining AKA was… He is a real clown… One line that he said, that stood out in episode one was “I am afraid of heights guys, unless it’s on the charts, then I enjoy being on top…” …lol… AKA has his game face on throughout the game, I wouldn’t be surprised if he walked away with the million.
And then there is Mario Ogle… Sigh… This boy is sexy… Body is so toight. But he is such a sweetie pie… In one of the challenges, he is competing against Jay, AKA and Reeva and he stops to help one of them out… Talk about gentleman… Here he is with one of the contestants (forgot his name) Kefentse Moagi. Kefentse and Pearl became good friends during the show… (not like that Sunday World… They just became good FRIENDS…Nje)
I am looking forward to all the drama of the 5th series… Should be entertaining and sexy… Tropika Island of Treasure 5 kicks off on SABC1 on the 16th February at 18:30.

A bit about Mika Stefano...
Mika Stefano was born on the 19th May 1986 at the Morningside Clinic. His full name is Mikhael Stefano, but Mika soon become the name everyone used.
Mika went to an all boy's school and it was here he discovered his sexuality. He would usually play all the female leading roles in the school productions. It was on this stage he fell in love with the performing arts. After Mika finished primary school he went to the National School of Arts, where he excelled in both academics and drama. Mika started up and edited a monthly newsletter as well as planned several school events. It was here Mika became his flamboyant self and turned into the diva we all know. Mika then went onto to study a specialized theatre course and directed several productions. By this point Mika was ready for the big world and he got his first acting 'job' at the Joburg Theatre (previously known as the Civic Theatre)
He also acted in A Mid Summers Nights Dream, King Lear, Arcadia and Joseph and his Amazing Techni-Coloured Dream Coat at the Joburg Theatre. Mika then joined the marketing team at the Market Theatre, were he worked on many productions including Sophiatown, Sarafina, Joe Barber and Shreds and Dreams. Mika also chaired the youth section of an Arts and Culture committee called PANSA (Performing Arts Network Of South Africa)
Whilst working at the Market Theatre, his alter ego drag character, Steffi T gained popularity and become one of Johannesburg's most recognized drag queens. But Mika has laid his wig's to rest and he is focusing on developing his own personal brand; MIKA STEFANO.
Mika currently works at the Old Mutual Theatre on the Square in Sandton. He is the Marketing, Publicity and FOH Manager. He has worked with lots of well known actors, including the late Ashley Callie and Patrick Mynhardt.
Mika is slowly working on his blog and setting up his own website, www.mikastefano.com. This will feature the latest celeb gossip as well as his much loved social reviews and a weekly gig guide. His blogs also include various fashion tips and the ever so popular HOT OR NOT, where readers are encouraged to share their opinions on various peoples outfits. Mika Stefano is usually seen at the hottest events and parties in Johannesburg and is slowly becoming a true social butterfly! Mika Stefano has been lucky enough to be a guest presenter on MTV Base as well as interviewing international singer, Kelly Rowland for a MTV HIV AIDS special. Mika has also been called on to 3talk with Noleen to review movies. Mika has a regular column in FUNK Magazine, he also freelances for TIME OUT Magazine, The Joburg Insider and Wrapped Magazine as well as several online magazines.
Most recently Mika Stefano performed in a live performance art exhibition at the bag factory. The exhibition was themed around media and paparazzi and these generated a great interest around his blog. At the same time Mika Stefano coordinated and produced his very first art exhibition called AU79. This was held at Goldbar in Rosebank's Design District. The main idea behind the exhibition was to introduce young people to art, in a creative sociable way.
Mika Stefano was also a guest presenter on YFM's Breakfast Show with Dineo.
Mika Stefano's personal style can be described in three words, BOLD, VIBRANT and FRESH. He is usually the bitchy gay guy who sits in the front row at all the fashion week and he always insist on a goodie bag! Mika Stefano doesn't like to shop at any specific store, but rather shop around. If there is a sale, Mika Stefano will be there. If there is a bargain, Mika Stefano will know about it. He believes true style, is how you make something work for you. You could rock a plastic bag, if you know how! And between us.... Mika Stefano knows how!
