Famous Faces on the Ramp at Fashion Week

Opening SA Fashion Week, was the Glam Show with a collection of designers. Minnie was made the face of Motions (a hair product) altho, when she walked out, I swore she was named the ambassador of 5Roses Tea… “A nice cup of tea anyone?”

She is a nice, vibrant person, so well done to her…

Channel O’s Weza (who wore her own shoes) wore Rubicon. Weza is the most influential Angolan celeb on Twitter… Well done Weza… “Obrigado”

Zoopy’s Sinazo looked scary… I mean, I am used to her with her hair all sleek, not wild…

They really shouldnt put celebs in dresses that are hard to walk in… Had me lol-ing for Generations when she stumbled…

Pabi looked simply stunning as usual… Perhaps I am being biased, but she looked fabulous…

The new “IT” girl, Pearl Thusi looked fierce and got the crowd cheering for more… I like her… She is fast becoming the new IT girl…

This model isnt a celeb (at least not before this blog post) I just love the pattern on the blouse…

A highlight was the return of Stoned Cherrie. What a lovely, sophisticated line with lots of colour… I really enjoyed it…

Kenyan singer, ex model and fashion designer, Liz Ogombo performed at her show… She is an amazing person…

Craig Jacobs, had a vibrant line…. Loved the material on this gorgeous model who looked like the stunt double of Kelly Rowland…

Something for the ladies (and some guys….)

Paledi’s range was set to be the highlight of SA Fashion week, but it felt more like a low light… Its a fashion show, not a spectacle. And yes, most fashion designers have famous friends, but thats no reason to have them in the fashion show… We came to see the garments not this…

I know Vusi is a great guy, but firstly the pants are not even sitting properly… Secondly he performed so much that we couldnt even look at the hard work that was put into the outfits…

Slikour tried to walk like the models, but I think it was just him gasping for air…

Channel O’s SK. I dont understand the greenish blue socks?

Lesley looked good. Im so over the black and white tho…

Donald looked good… Perhaps, because his arms were visible…

To be honest, I was hoping for more from Paledi’s show… Hopefully his next showcase will get more people excited, because the chat after the show was all the same… “Was that it?”

And yes, that was it… SA Fashion Week, in the bag…
