Bold couture for a beautiful woman! Soapie glamour will rock the Nelson Mandela Bridge on Saturday, 19 February 2011, when Bold and the Beautiful star Jacqueline MacInness Wood will be on the runway for David Tlale’s collection during Joburg Fashion Week.
MacInness Wood, who plays Steffy Forrester in the enduringly popular SABC1 soapie, is in South Africa with fellow Bold actors Brandon Beemer (Owen Knight) and Jack Wagner (Nick Marone) for a three-city tour, visiting selected shopping malls to meet their fans.
The actress will be modelling creations from Tlale’s hotly anticipated Autumn/Winter collection on the iconic Mandela Bridge in Braamfontein, which will be turned into a unique urban catwalk during the finale of Joburg Fashion Week on Saturday. This hot-ticket show starts at 10pm.
Tlale, one of South Africa’s leading designers, is set to make local fashion history by showcasing his new “Made in the City” collection at this monumental outdoor landmark.
His innovative city-inspired designs will be accessorised by pieces crafted as part of an Anglo Platinum empowerment initiative, in which the platinum giant has partnered with a local incubator scheme that mentors and trains emerging jewellers.
