Today was the last day of one of my fave show’s on Metro FM, Total Bliss with Azania Mosaka.

Aza better known as Azania has been a part of the Metro FM family for a while and recently did an amazing job as the emcee for the 12th Annual Metro FM Awards.

Today, Metro FM announced that the talented Siphokazi January will join Metro FM from next week Monday. For the rest of this week a selection of other Metro FM DJ’s will host the Total Bliss show.

Word has it Azania will be moving to the new radio station called Power FM. They must have put in a good offer to scoop her up from Nationwide radio station, Metro FM. I wish her the best of luck with the new adventure and I look forward to hearing her voice on radio in the near future. Even if its on another frequency.
I also look forward to hearing the new offering from the young Siphokazi January. Always nice to have some new voice.

This was the official Press Release sent out just a few moments ago.

It is with regret to have to officially announce that on Tuesday the 30th April 2013 will be Azania Mosaka’s last day at METRO FM as presenter of the popular Total Bliss Show.  It is sadly the end of her tenure at the Station that she has diligently served for many years.  Azania is a seasoned, disciplined, focused, and professional presenter who’s departure at METRO FM is a great loss. The Station wishes her well in her future endeavors and we will have nothing but fond memories of her journey with us for a long time to come.

Siphokazi January replaces Azania from May 2013.  Siphokazi needs no introduction given her background in the entertainment industry.  She leaves TruFM to join METRO FM and brings on board her vivacious personality and energy and as a Station, we are delighted to have her on board.

For the rest of this week, our audiences will enjoy a medley of internal stand-in’s on Total Bliss, such as Phat Joe, Marian Lartey & William Lehong, and Minnie Dlamini, as we await Siphokazi’s official arrival.

Thami Ngubeni who’s also a veteran on METRO FM, still retains her show, The Sacred Space on Sunday morningsat 06:00-0900. However, she joins our sister Station Radio2000 as a presenter.  She is not jumping ship from METRO FM but this is yet again, merely a transversal opportunity that has come to the fore that she was keen to undertake and saw it as a great opportunity to broaden her horizon.
